VIGAN CITY FIESTA
Every year, the people of Vigan celebrate their colorful Fiesta with great excitement. It is a time filled with joy, traditional contests, and fun activities for everyone. My friends and I decided to visit the city in the afternoon specifically to watch the famous street dancing competition, which is one of the biggest highlights of the event.
We were amazed by the dancers, who ranged from elementary students to high schoolers. Every group showed incredible talent and energy as they performed in the heat. We weren't just there as regular spectators; we went specifically to cheer for ISNHS. We wanted to make sure they felt our loud support while they danced through the busy streets.
Unfortunately, we were unable to watch their final showdown at the Longganisa Festival stage. Even though we missed that specific part, we were overjoyed when we heard the news. We are so proud of them because ISNHS performed perfectly and was declared the overall champion. All their hard work and practice definitely paid off.
The fun did not stop when the sun went down. That evening, there was a massive concert featuring the famous band Parokya ni Edgar, and the atmosphere was electric. The festivities continued until December 25th, which featured a grand parade through the city. It was a wonderful experience that showed the true spirit of our community.

Quarter 3 Reflection
This quarter was pretty good! My favorite part was working on our class projects and getting to see my friends every day. I feel like I got a lot better at explaining my ideas during class discussions. I also did a good job of staying caught up with my reading, and I’m proud that I didn't give up when the math got a little bit harder.
The hardest part of this quarter was staying focused during long lessons. Sometimes it was tough to keep working when I wanted to be outside or doing something active. I also struggled a little bit with keeping my folders organized, so sometimes it took me a minute to find the papers I needed.
I learned that I work a lot better when I take my time instead of trying to be the first one finished. I also realized that if I ask for help when I’m stuck, I feel way less stressed out. I’m starting to see that I’m actually really good at problem-solving when I stay patient

Jose Rizal
Jose Rizal, revered as the national hero of the Philippines, made an indelible mark on his homeland through his unwavering dedication to intellectual enlightenment and peaceful reform. While his life was tragically cut short, his writings and actions ignited a fervent sense of national identity and paved the way for the Philippine Revolution. Many of his contributions are still seen and felt today throughout the country.
Rizal's greatest contribution undoubtedly lies in his powerful and insightful literary works, particularly his novels Noli Me Tángere (Touch Me Not) and El filibusterismo (The Reign of Greed). These novels, written in Spanish, served as a searing indictment of the Spanish colonial government and the Catholic friars' abuses. They exposed the injustices, corruption, and hypocrisy prevalent in Philippine society under Spanish rule, awakening the consciousness of the Filipino people to their oppressed state. Rizal's masterful storytelling and vivid characters depicted the realities of colonial life, fostering a sense of shared experience and a burgeoning desire for freedom and self-determination among Filipinos.
Beyond his literary endeavors, Rizal was a staunch advocate for peaceful reforms and education. He believed that genuine progress could only be achieved through intellectual awakening and moral uprightness, not through violent revolution. He championed the establishment of schools, promoted civic virtues, and emphasized the importance of self-improvement for national advancement. His advocacy for education as a tool for liberation from ignorance and oppression instilled in Filipinos the value of knowledge and critical thinking, laying the groundwork for a more enlightened citizenry. His vision for the Philippines was one where Filipinos, educated and empowered, would be capable of governing themselves justly and progressively.
In essence, Jose Rizal's greatest contribution was instilling a sense of shared national identity and inspiring a generation to fight for their rights and freedom through intellectual and peaceful means. His literary masterpieces provided the ideological foundation for the Philippine revolution, even if he did not directly lead it. He awakened a dormant consciousness, transforming scattered regional loyalties into a unified Filipino nation. His legacy continues to resonate, reminding Filipinos of the power of the pen, the importance of education, and the enduring struggle for justice and self-determination.

What Christmas Really Means to Me
When December starts, everything feels different. The air gets a little colder, and everywhere you look, there are colorful lights and pretty trees. Most people think Christmas is just about getting toys or eating a big dinner, but I think it’s about something much more special. It’s that happy feeling you get when you’re with the people you love.
For me, the best part of Christmas is the time I spend with my family. I love waking up early, helping my mom bake cookies, and watching holiday movies together under a warm blanket. It’s a time when everyone stops being so busy with work or school and just enjoys being together. Even simple things, like singing carols or hanging ornaments on the tree, make me feel really happy and safe.
Christmas also reminds me to be kind to others. It’s not just about getting gifts; it’s about giving them too! I like picking out something special for my friends or helping give food to people who don't have much. When we share love and help others, that is the real "magic" of the season. I hope everyone remembers that Christmas is about love, kindness, and being thankful for what we have.
